Few things light up Washington, DC quite like the spring cherry blossoms. The city overtaken by those fluffy pink blooming trees is a sight we just cannot get enough of. Visitors and locals alike can’t help but snap at least a couple of that Instagram-worthy pink hue.

And this year, the city’s cherry blossoms are coming early! To make sure you make the most of this fabulous time of the year, The Embassy Row Hotel  has concocted two specialty cherry blossom-inspired cocktails for you to sip on while you enjoy the gorgeous DC spring.

Morning Kayoto

Meaning “the supportive person” in Japanese, this cocktail is a great one for the day after a wild night out on the town. The Morning Kayoto is made with:

  • Suntory Toki Japanese whiskey
  • matcha tea
  • plum wine honey syrup
  • toasted Thai pepper hemp foam on top

The variety of flavors in this cocktail will definitely wow you, and help kick your body back into gear to get out there are frolic in the blossoms!

We love this version of a haiku where words are replaced with:

  • Suntory Toki Japanese whiskey
  • chamomile lemon grass green tea
  • anise infused honey syrup
  • lychee infused puree

A drink like this will inspire you to write some haikus of your own!

So what are you waiting for? Grab your camera, a friend, and get yourselves to The Embassy Row Hotel for these one-of-a-kind cocktails and a photo shoot amongst the unbelievable Washington, DC cherry blossoms.
