As you already know, October celebrates Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Throughout this month, we will be celebrating the phenomenal women and men who are currently battling this devastating disease, as well as those who have fought the battle and won!
It’s important that we continue to shine a light on breast cancer and its effects on our community because, in some way, shape, or form, we have been touched by breast cancer. If you live in the Washington, DC area, we invite you to join us for our interactive brunch featuring facilitated discussions about breast cancer, breast care, beauty and mental health. Guests will enjoy a gourmet buffet-style brunch, and post-brunch, guests will have the opportunity to engage in interactive discussions about topics relating to breast cancer. Discussions will be facilitated by Dr. Regina Hampton, Founder of Breast Care for Washington, Dr. Imani Price, Licensed Psychologist, as well as other guest speakers that will soon be announced.
Tickets for the event are now available for just $40 and can be purchased by visiting pinkforthecause.eventbrite.com. We are also asking guests to make a $25 donation, if possible. However, we are thrilled with donations of any size.
Proceeds from this event will benefit the amazing work of Breast Care for Washington, a local nonprofit working to reduce breast cancer mortality in the Washington, DC area by promoting access to breast cancer screening, diagnostics, and treatment to all women, regardless of their ability to pay.
