Mix Up Your Valentine’s Day With These Romantic Happy Hour Recipes

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and whether you’ve got a lover to celebrate, or you’re celebrating your love for yourself and your friends, this is not a night to spend solo on the couch.

However you’re celebrating this Valentine’s Day, we’ve got some festive happy hour recipes that will make this night absolutely fabulous.

Sparkling Frose

Rose has a special place in our hearts any day of the year, but especially on Valentine’s Day. Spice up your basic glass of rose with this drink recipe.

  1. Pour rose into an ice cube tray and place in freezer until frozen
  2. In a blender, combine Sparkling Ice Cherry Limeade, rose cubes and lemon juice
  3. Garnish with mint sprig and serve

Sparkling Hibiscus

The unexpected addition of hibiscus flowers in this drink will surely impress your date.

  1. Place whole hibiscus flower in the bottom of a glass
  2. Fill glass with Santa Margherita Prosecco Superiore DOCG to 3/4-inch of the rim
  3. Carefully spoon in 2 tsp. of the hibiscus syrup into each glass and serve

Sparkling Raspberry

Add a little bit of sparkle and flavor to your vodka with this refreshing cocktail.

  2. In a cocktail shaker, add vanilla vodka, simple syrup, and fresh lemon juice — shake

  2. Place a small 2″ piece of cotton candy on top of glass as a garnish

Fior Adora

The mix of flavors in this drink is sure to win over your lover.

What you need:

  • 3/4 oz lemon juice
  • 3/4 oz Small Hand Foods raspberry gum syrup
  • 1 1/2 oz. Plymouth Gin
  • 4 oz Bruce Cost Ginger Ale Original

What to do:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a glass with ice
  2. Garnish

Purity Berry H20

This drink is far from a cup of water but goes down just as smoothly.

What you need:

  • 4 part Purity Vodka
  • 3 parts berry water
  • 1 cup mixed berries
  • 1 long piece lemon zest
  • 4 parts distilled water

What to do:

  1. Combine ingredients in a glass pitcher and let sit in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours
  2. Serve the vodka mixed with the berry water either shaken or strained or just combined over ice.

The Rosemary Hound

The fresh rosemary in this cocktail gives a fabulous kick that you and your lover will really love sipping on.

What you need:

  • 2 parts Purity Vodka
  • 1 part simple syrup
  • 4 T fresh rosemary leaves
  • 1/2 part ruby red grapefruit juice
  • 2 slices ruby red grapefruit, for garnish

  1. Place the grapefruit juice, vodka, and 1 oz rosemary simple syrup in a cocktail shaker with ice, and shake well to mix
  2. Serve on the rocks, garnished with grapefruit slice

Now that you’ve got plenty of ideas for cocktails that will win over your lover, yourself, and/or your friends, you should probably have a couple of snacks on hand to balance the drinks out a bit.

Here are some V-Day-friendly happy hour appetizer recipes.

Creamy Hazelnut Dip

Chocolate on Valentine’s Day? Yes, please. And chocolate that we can dip biscotti and cookies in? Even better.

What you need:

  • 2 packages (6 oz total) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup Nutella
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup confectioners’ sugar
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream, whipped
  • 1/2 cup chopped hazelnuts
  • Fresh strawberries
  • Biscotti
  • Milano cookies

What to do:

  1. In a small bowl, combine the cream cheese, Nutella, and vanilla
  2. Beat in confectioners’ sugar until smooth
  3. Fold in whipped cream and hazelnuts
  4. Serve with strawberries, biscotti, and cookies

Deviled Hearts

This Valentine’s Day play on deviled eggs will make you never want to go back to the originals.

What you need:

  • 1 (8 oz) package of cream cheese, softened
  • 2/3 cup plus 2 T superfine sugar
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 lemon, zested
  • 1 1/2 T fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups heavy cream
  • 16 large strawberries, tops cut and split in half, lengthwise
  • 1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs

What to do:

  1. Place cream cheese, sugar, sour cream, lemon juice, zest, and vanilla in a medium mixing bowl
  2. Beat together with an electric mixer until smooth
  3. Scrape down sides of the bowl and set aside
  4. In another mixing bowl with the electric mixer, beat the cream until stiff peaks form
  5. Fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture and fully incorporate
  6. Slick the back of each strawberry just a bit, so they sit up straight
  7. Using a small measuring spoon or melon baller, carefully hollow the center of each strawberry
  8. Fill a piping bag with the cream cheese mixture and pipe into each cut strawberry
  9. Finish each piece with a sprinkle of graham cracker crumbs and serve
